INTRODUCTION

Ridester is a comprehensive resource for rideshare and delivery drivers and customers. It offers readers a mix of informational guides, tools, tutorials, and video courses. We worked with them from Sep’2017 to Mar’2019.

Initial Status

When Ridester approached us:

  • Their DR (Domain Rating) was 43 [Source: Ahrefs]
  • Their organic traffic was 102,939 per month [Source: Ahrefs]
  • They wanted to help with their media kit creation
  • They wanted to further grow their DR and organic traffic
  • They wanted to have a cost-effective solution

Final SEO Campaign Goals

Thus based on the above requirements, we came up with these goals for our SEO campaign:

  • We decided to create an infographic and a mapographic for them based on their RIDES report
  • We created a strategy that provided a push for the RIDES report using Digital PR (primarily HARO)
  • Use a Performance Marketing based Journalist Outreach campaign whereby the client would pay for earned citations only 
  • To increase their DR as it’s the main indicator of whether your website will be able to rank well on search engines
  • To grow their organic traffic as it represents users who have actively sought out their content or offerings, leading to higher conversion rates and long-term brand visibility
  • To boost the personal brand of Brett Helling(Founder of Ridester) as a thought leader and further establish his credible authority within the rideshare industry

PROCESS

Keeping Ridester’s goals in mind, we came up with the following strategy:

Media Kit Creation

We helped Ridester in creating a comprehensive media kit including all visual assets (logo, font size, official name, brand colors, etc). We designed it using the content provided to us by the client.

Digital PR Backlinks with HARO

Our Pay-for-Performance campaign focused on earning high-authority and legit backlinks for them,  by sending personalized pitches to journalists on HARO (now known as Connectively).

It should also be noted that DR is on a logarithmic scale; which means that it takes much more effort to increase DR from 2-3 than it takes to increase DR from 1-2.
Given the above tough challenges, it was highly satisfactory that we were able to increase the DR from 43 to 58 within a year.
