Our Journey

October 2013
Agency founded by Syed Irfan Ajmal in Pakistan as MQC (Marketing Quotient Consultancy). The company offered services like SEO strategy and planning, content marketing, onsite implementation, and backlinking.
June 2015
After a merger with a British agency led by Azzam Shiekh, the company rebranded as digital marketing ROI. The company grew from a couple of team members to over 18 and worked with a variety of clients from USA and UK.
2017
After Irfan and Azzam decided to part ways in an amicable fashion, the company reconstructed and began focusing more on HARO outreach.
2018
The company expanded its focus on HARO outreach and witnessed significant growth and success.
2019
The company continued to improve its processes and data systems to earn citations via HARO in a more predictable fashion. The team size grew to meet demand.
2020
The company launched its new website at dmr.agency and decided to focus exclusively on offsite SEO, with HARO outreach as the primary service offering.
2021-2026
Continued refinement of earned media strategies, expansion into GEO (Generative Engine Optimization), and building a reputation as specialists who earn attention instead of buying it. After 13+ years, we’ve learned to be highly selective about the clients we work with.

Syed Irfan Ajmal built DMR.agency on a simple insight: most companies throw money at attention when they should be earning it. With a background spanning tech, IT, and content strategy, Syed saw firsthand how companies live or die by their ability to market themselves. The problem? Most agencies are lazy. They buy ads because it’s easy. Syed built DMR to do the opposite.
